Thomas Henry “Animal” Lanham Jr., 70, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Loving father of Michelle (Russell) Parish, Tom (Mary) Lanham, Elizabeth (Jason) Duff, and Melissa (Cory) Hutchins; cherished grandfather of Kayla (Adam) Lovewell, Nicole Parish, Jasmine Parish, Zach Foppe, Jacob Lanham, Lucas Lanham, Jonathon Duff, Samantha Duff, Joshua Mayard, Emilie Mayard, and Eleana Mayard; treasured great-grandfather of Issac and Alyssa.
Thomas served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life as a demolition man, he loved tearing down buildings. Ultimately, the job he loved contributed to the cancer that took his life.
Thomas loved riding his Harley and enjoyed having an ice cold Budweiser. Many knew him by his nickname, Animal, which he earned many years ago. He loved his dog, Daisey, so much. She was his co-pilot, companion, and great company who kept him busy. He lived his life on his terms, his way. He purchased a boat and camper to start fishing and camping with his children, whom he loved very much. Thomas recently moved home to be closer to his family, which was how he spent his final weeks, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He will be truly missed. #cancersucks
Thomas will have a Military committal performed at Jefferson Barracks on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 11:30 a.m
