With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of the beloved Ruth Banks, affectionately known as “MyGuy,” who was born on March 1, 1947, and lived a full and meaningful life of 79 years.
Ruth was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness whose faith guided her every step. She found deep joy and purpose within her congregation, cherishing her fellow church members as family. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister Myra Banks, her son, Brandon Bailey, whom she considered her hero, and his husband, Peter. She also leaves behind her devoted daughter and confidant, Sheyla Whitehurst, who shared a special and unbreakable bond with her. Along side her beloved grandson, William Buelow, whom she was so proud of.
“MyGuy’s” heart was fullest in the presence of her great-granddaughter, Magnolia Nadine, who brought her immense pride and joy. She also shared a deep and treasured friendship with her granddaughter, Alexis Buelow, who was not only family but one of her closest companions.
Ruth’s legacy is one of faith, love, and steadfast devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
We lay her to rest with heavy hearts, comforted by the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind.
