“It is with great sadness that the family of Richard “RuRu” Lee Allen announce his tragic and very unexpected passing on May 2, 2024 at the age of 48. Richard was all about “Family First.” The saying he always lived by was “Blood makes you related, Loyalty makes you family”, and he stood on that until his final day. Despite his demons that he fought daily, he never hesitated to offer a helping hand. He was not only our protector, but he was also our safe spot. He loved spending his free time camping, fishing, boxing or just being outside. But more than anything, he loved riding motorcycles. He always said that’s where he felt the most free. We know he’s by our side, In laughter and in sorrow. In the sunshine and in the rain. We know he’s watching over us. Until we meet again. As a husband and father he taught us that even our most profound losses are survivable! We find comfort in the every countless memory that brings a smile to our face and tears to our eyes. His love was, is, and will always be the glue to hold us together. If you knew RuRu then you know his legacy is a symphony of love, resilience, and of course, how to always stay ten toes down. He may have loved riding his motorcycles, but he loved riding for his family even more! He definitely made the unloved feel loved; and could always make the unhappy laugh,. He made us realize that tomorrow is never promised and there will always be sunshine after the storm! To everyone else he was just “RuRu”, but to us he was our protector!! He was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a great uncle, a friend, and a pawpaw! Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years Misty J. Allen of Liberty, MO, his 4 stepchildren Kyla R. Graham, Elijah J. Graham, Alexia M. Graham, and Jasiah E. Graham. His grandson Ziaire L. Graves, his sister Jody L. Allen, his niece Alexis L. Allen, and his great nephew River Lee Pratt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia A. Tollefsrud and Donald R. Allen.
