Rhonda Marie Haseker, a lifelong resident of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away surrounded by love and family. Born and raised in the heart of St. Louis, Rhonda carried her city’s spirit with her wherever she went. She was a proud supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues, always cheering on her teams with passion and pride.
Rhonda found joy in life’s simple pleasures—casting a line while fishing on the lake, trying her luck at the casinos, and soaking in the sun and serenity of the Florida ocean, one of her favorite places. Her laughter, warmth, and deep love for her family made her someone who was truly cherished by all who knew her.
Rhonda has now joined her beloved mother, Shirley Smotherman, and Shirley’s husband, Smo, in eternal peace. She is also reunited with her biological father, William Brockett, and her adoptive father, Jack Tomlin, who each played meaningful roles in her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her daughters: Casey Thomson (Brett), Amanda Haseker (Christy), and Cynthia Messamore (Curtis). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Zachary, Adeline, Skyleigh, Elora, and Emilia, and a loving step-grandmother to Braylon, Michael, and Breea.
Rhonda is also survived by her brother Rick Cornelius (Sandy), and by Andrea (Dave) Upchurch, Donny (Mindi) Tomlin, Laura Tomlin, Colleen Lee, and William Brockett. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Rhonda Marie Haseker will be remembered for her spirited personality, her deep love for her family, and the joy she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the memories shared by loved ones, and the strength of the family she helped build.
She was deeply loved—and will be deeply missed.
