Janice W. Boehle, 89, of St. Louis passed away on January 31, 2021. She was born on August 4, 1931 to the late Richard and Helen (Dean) Williams. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Boehle and sisters Judy Mano and Marg McKeon. She is survived by her five children: Bob Boehle of San Diego, Rick (Shelly) Boehle of Kansas City, Lorna White of St. Petersburg, DeDe (Rick) Stewart of O’Fallon, and Amy (Mike) Fuson of San Diego. She cherished and loved spending time with her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betsy (Edward) Martin of San Diego, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jan graduated from Fairlawn High School in New Jersey, attended junior college in New England, and then transferred to the University of Arizona where she met her future husband, Don. They settled in St. Louis where she was a wonderful homemaker, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, GG (great grandmother), and friend who loved the world of dance. She treasured her many years of friendship and performing with the St. Louis Strutters and dancing with groups in Tucson and San Diego. She competed in the Ms. Senior Missouri pageant and danced with the Cameo Club. Jan was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and she loved watching football and ice skating. She lived a life of joy and was nicknamed Giggles at the nursing home where she resided the last couple of years.
A celebration of Jan’s life will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the O’Day Lodge in O’Fallon at 11:00 a.m. She will be buried with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Lemay, Missouri.
