James Malcom Carrington Jr stepped out of this earthly life and entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 95, at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Beloved by all who knew him, he was known for so many positive traits, like, kindness, humorous, strong work ethic, generous, resilience, and the love of family. His faith was strong. James could quote scriptures from the Bible at a moment’s notice. He was a mathematical and Historian genius.
James Malcon Carrington Jr. was born on January 12, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of James M. and Maddie Carrington Sr. a businessman who served as the State Representative of Missouri and a prominent photographer. His Father, mother, and sister Betty Carter preceded him in death at the age of 89 years old. James was the oldest of the two siblings.
Carrington was a proud member of the United States Military, serving two branches: first as a Marine, then in the US Army during World War II.
James graduated from Charles Sumner High School and attended Harris Stowe State College. He studied to be a teacher.
James M. Carrington Jr. accepted and chose to devote his life to Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was faithful in his service to the Lord. He was a loyal member of the Living Church of God, under the leadership of Pastor Richard Franz. He remained faithful until his health began to decline. He loved his church immensely. He will miss his church family.
Carrington was united in Holy Matrimony to Yolanda Williams, a union to which there are three children Leron, Areina, and Aaron Williams who preceded him in death. He cared, provided for, and reared them up. Carrington supported other children around the world, through various charities. He leaves to cherish his memory.
He leaves to mourn: A lovely wife Yolanda Carrington, two children, four grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends.
