James Henry Sanders, 60 years old, passed away unexpectedly at his home in West Alton, Missouri on August 15th, 2022.
Jim was born on October 17th, 1961 in St. Louis where he grew to attend Sts. John and James Catholic Grade School, and later graduated from McCluer High School. Soon after, Jim honored his country by becoming a decorated soldier in the United States Army. He served in Europe from 1989-1993. Upon exiting the military James started and ran his own Tree Service business. He got married and raised a family. Jim filled his life with fishing, hunting, music, gardening, creating beautiful art, and strongly connecting with people and animals. He made many friends over his life and helped countless people in times of need. He is loved deeply and will be missed by many.
James is preceded by his father James Sanders. He is survived by his mother Barb Putz and husband Ted Putz, his siblings Bill Sanders and wife Lisa Sanders, Mark Sanders and wife Karen Sanders, Pat Sanders and wife Carla Sanders, and Robin Sanders, his former wife Kathy Sanders, and his two daughters Alex Sanders and Rene Sanders.
A visitation is scheduled from 9-11:30 a.m. with a short service from 11:30-noon at Hutchens Funeral Home on Graham Rd. Following the service, an escort will lead the procession from Hutchens to Jefferson Barracks where Jim will be honored with a military service at 1 p.m.
