James Edward Rogers, Jr.

James Rogers 77 years, left this earth to be with the Lord on August 23, 2023. James Rogers Jr. was born in Mebane, NC on November 9, 1945, to James Rogers Sr. and Lottie Burnette Rogers. James had been fighting cardiomyopathy for 25 years and continued to fight as long as he could.

James leaves behind the love of his life, Mary Kathleen Rogers(Kathi,), married on November 1, 1997.

James and Kathi never missed the opportunity to go out and have a good time, the two of them made the best of every moment they had together and spent a lot of time with friends on the dance floor or with their children and grandbabies.

As a family, we take comfort in knowing James is with the Lord and has been reunited with his loved ones including his parents, James Rogers Sr. and Lottie Burnette Rogers, his sister Mary Russell, his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

James Rogers Jr. leaves behind his brother Gregory Rogers (Grace) of Burlington, NC, his children Reggie Gwynn of Green Level, NC, Michelle Gray of Burlington, NC, Jennifer Rogers of Dallas, TX, Jacqueline Rogers of Independence, MO, Aubrey Essex of Saint Paul, MN and Tiffany Essex of Blue Springs, MO, his 23 beloved grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place on October 1, 2023, from 1 pm-4 pm at Rotary Park in Blue Springs, MO.
