Heidi Tiihonen, 61, died on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Troy Manor after a lengthy illness.

Heidi is the beloved mother of Alex Tiihonen and the dear of Arto (Debra) Tiihonen. She was preceded in death by her parents Eino and Kirsti Tiihonen.

Heidi was a very hard worker and will be remembered for her determination and never giving up. She deeply cared for those around her.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Alex and Heidi's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I spoke to her a little before Christmas as she was checking up on her friend (and my sister), Kathy. She told me how she was working so hard and doing everything physical therapy asked her to do. I really was impressed with her positive attitude. I've lost a parent too and I know your world was turned upside down in one moment Alex. Please contact me if I can help you in any way. I knew your Mom when she was a teenager and then reconnecting as adults. I know her best and favorite part of her life was you Alex, her beautiful, loving and smart son. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Heidi was my best friend since high school. I loved her so much. She was a kind and generous lady who will be missed. God has her now and I believe she is happy and not suffering.
