George O McCune, a retired Minister and resident of Warrenton, MO passed on to be with our Heavenly Father on November 25th, 2020 at the age of 93 in his home. He was born May 17th, 1927 in Rogen Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Loren McCune and Irma Alice McCune nee Sirios, his brothers Donald McCune, Loren “Junior” McCune, and Alton “Bucky” McCune. His wife of 37 years Billie McCune nee Wall before her death in 2001 and an infant son Bobby Barker, his son in law Scott Baldwin and grandson in law Kenny LeGrand.
George is survived by his children, Jacqueline Katzenberger (Lonny), Bruce Flowers (Mary Hegger), Debbie McCune (Glenn Hamilton), John Flowers, Pamela Schlueter (Danny), Georgina Ruebling (Gary), Lee “Leebaby” Gibson (Larry), his sisters Betty Fortune and Margaret McCune, many and many nieces and nephews. He was blessed with 102 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and has his 103rd is on the way. He is also survived by his next in life love, Delores “Babe” Aston and her children and grandchildren who adopted him as their own.
He was proud WWII veteran and a member of the VFW, American Legion and Pauldingville Masonic Lodge. He loved attending Creekside Place Church after his retirement and had known the minister for many years. He danced as long as he could. He loved being with family and enjoyed playing his guitar and sing to everyone who visited. In his last years he would go fishing a lot with anyone and everyone who would fish with him.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the spring, the date is to be determine.
