Fount Wayne Stewart

March 18, 1957 - December 18, 2022

Wayne F Stewart, 65, of Worden IL, passed away on Sunday, December 18th, at his home with loved ones by his side.

Wayne was born March 18th, 1957 to Jack and Pauline Stewart in Staunton IL.

In 1976, Wayne met Sondra (Welch) Stewart. They then married on June 22, 1977 and went on to have 3 children, Laila, Gina, and Shaila Stewart. Wayne also had three grandchildren Norah and Addison Matthews, and Carson Lesicko.

Wayne was a carpenter by trade, learning from his father-in-law Red Welch. The two worked together for many years.

Wayne’s passions were playing the guitar, gardening, and driving his grandbabies around on the lawnmower.

He is survived by his wife Sondra, daughters Gina Matthews and Shaila Lesicko, son-in-law Joseph Lesicko, three grandchildren Norah, Addison, and Carson, two brothers Joe and Jim, two sisters Bonnie and Patty, and many nieces & nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jack and Pauline, his stepmother Lois, brother Dale, and his eldest daughter Laila.

Wayne touched the lives of many people with his giving nature and kind heart.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dear Sondi, Gina, Shaila & Family: Wayne was one of “the good guys”. You all were the most important people in his life. He had a great sense of humor and would help anyone. I know that his absence here on Earth will leave a void in your hearts but please take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with those that went before him and you will be together again when your time comes. May God bless you and comfort you.

Wayne has been part of our family many years . He helped many of us with repairs carpentry etc. Enjoyed our family get-togethers .He will be missed by many. RIP nephew in-law. We all loved him .

I remember he tried many times to teach me to play a guitar, but I could not feel it , understand it, but kept trying still not! And when he played, always apologized said he’s not very good ( but was )! So very sorry I have not keep in touch thru the years & Sondra GOD is with you !!!
