Diane Vancil

Diane Vancil was born on December 21st, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. She passed on December 21st, 2021 in her 70th year in St. Louis, Missouri. Diane is survived by her beloved great nephew Chad Vancil (Ashley Vancil), beloved great niece Ashley Baptista (Luca Baptista and Bailey Baptista), her nephews (James Vancil and Mike Vancil), and her brother in laws (Charlie Vancil and George Vancil). Diane also leaves behind her best friend and companion Benji, her cherished cocker spaniel.

Author Sara Sheridan once said “An aunt is a safe haven for a child. Someone who will keep your secrets and is always on your side.” Diane will always be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her great niece and nephew. Diane had an enormous influence on the entire family, her calm wisdom and kindness will be sorely missed by all.

Diane was my very dear friend for over 20 years. God placed her in my life at the moment I needed someone, even though I thought I did not. Diane was like a mother, big sister and BFF all rolled up into one. I will always cherish our flower planting, sharing margarita's and heartfelt conversations. As they say "If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again." Love you BFF- XOXO- Christine

I never actually met Diane (she worked with my daughter) but when my husband passed 12 years ago, she was my strength and I will never forget her. We would talk on f/b and Diane gave me one the best gifts I will ever receive. She definitely received her angel wings right away. This family will always be in my prayers.
