Carol was such a wonderful lady! Although I haven't seen her in years, she was like a second Mom to me when I was growing up. She always welcomed me into her home with open arms, even letting Pam and I host parties at their house! The one that stands out the most was when we decided it would be 'cool' to use red light bulbs! As teenagers, we didn't know what that meant! But our parents forgave us! lol My memories of her are all awesome!

Mom was a very creative lady! One of my favorite memories was of these beautiful Holly Hobbie dolls she made for us when we were young. They were the cutest with tiny button eyes and the perfect bonnet and matching dress. They were so soft. It made her so happy to give them to us. She spent hours picking out just the right fabrics and wouldn't let us look until they were finished. What a great surprise it was! I sure wish I still had mine. I know she took sewing inspiration from her sister Betty Jean, she always talked fondly of her talents!

I never met Ms. Carol but Jess and I have been friends for going on 20 years. In that time I've heard so many stories and seen so many pictures of incredible moments between them that for so many of us it seemed like we did know. She was truly loved and that showed everytime Jess shared something with us. She will be terribly missed by so many including those of us who were lucky enough to just know her through her daughters.
