On June 4th 2021 at 8:40am surrounded by his family at home in Florissant, Mo, Bobbie Ray Brown went home to be with the Lord.
Bob, as he was known by his friends, was born October 11, 1935 to John Kenneth Brown and Harriet Viola (Mikesell) Brown in Clay, Co., Ark. Bob’s early life was lived in Naylor, Mo and moved to St Louis as a young man. He was a union heavy equipment operator for many years and owned an excavating and grading company, as well as a cable removal company. Bob retired to Cuba, Mo at Indian Hills Lake where he loved to fish and boat. He resided in Cuba for the last 25 years with his longtime companion Patricia Cookson. Bob never knew a stranger and was always available to help any who had a need.
He is survived by his children Timothy R Brown, Susan (Brown) Scherer, Brenda (Brown) Wolf and step daughter Maria Hart. His sister Ruth Clendenin. His grandchildren Zachariah Brown, Melissa (Wolf) Stergos, Quinlan Scherer, Emajayne Scherer, 7 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 12 stepgreat grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 7th, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Cuba United Methodist Church, 903 W. Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri 65453. Burial will take place Sunday September 5th, at 10:00 am, at Naylor Memorial Cemetery, Ripley County B-3A, Neelyville, Missouri, 63954. In lieu of flowers donations can be made and will go to a final resting place and head stone for Bobbie Ray Brown.
