Bob Hetlage, 64, entered Heaven on Sunday, February 9, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
The beloved husband of Gina Hetlage (nee Corno) for 20 years; step-father of Stephanie (Rich) Kasznel and Michael Barron; dear brother of John (the late Joyce) Hetlage, Tom (Janet) Hetlage, Dan (Pat) Hetlage, George (Kathy) Hetlage, Jane (Bob) Severs and the late Mike Hetlage. Bob was also preceded by his parents George and June Hetlage. Bob was a loving brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Bob was a very strong Christian and was active in various classes at Harvester Christian Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Bob loved animals, so much so that he adopted Penguins at the St. Louis Zoo and was an avid sports fan. Bob was so excited when the Blues brought home the Stanley Cup and the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl. He worked as an IT installer in the St. Louis area, working at Busch Stadium during the 2006 World Series, making sure all of the communication systems were “talking” to each other.
SERVICES: A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Harvester Christian Church Chapel, 2950 Kings Crossing, (St. Charles) with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions appreciated to the St. Louis Zoo.
