Andrew Joseph Ferris, passed away Sunday, August 30th, 2026 at the age of 38. Andy is the beloved son of the late Jerry and Mary (Nee Napoli) Ferris. Loving nephew of Kathy Davis (Nee Napoli), Barb Napoli and the late Linda Reeves (Nee Napoli). Andrew was a loving cousin, and friend to many.

Andrew was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps and a proud veteran. During his time in the service, he worked as an exceptionally skilled helicopter mechanic. Andrew’s service was a defining factor in his life and he built many relationships over the years with other veterans, particularly aiding those who struggled with PTSD. Andrew was always willing to help others and give of himself. He was funny, endearing and compassionate- exactly the type of soldier you would want by your side. He had a wonderful group of friends whom he kept close all his life. Andrew was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by those who had the joy to know him.

A Service for Andrew will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Monday, September 28th at 10:30am. Friends are invited to gather at Jefferson Barracks at 10:15am, behind the administrative office. Services will conclude with full military honors.

I will miss you Andy. I was never super close with you however I remember running around in the subdivision after dark and causing havoc amongst the neighbors. I remember making memories and being hooligans with steveO (Steve Reinesch) over the years we grew apart but I remember the last time I saw you over at your parents place.. your house ; you always had while we grew up and had beers and talked about God and continued to figure out life. It was good to see you then. I choose to remember you from then. You looked happy, healthy and still had that big dodge you always drove around in the garage. I love you man- hope your soul flies free now from the pain and struggles you suffered here on this earth. God bless u little bro❤️

Andy and I grew up together, he was like a brother to me. We worked together, went to school together, got in and out of trouble together, and talked about life together. Life is much about suffering, we all have our problems we have to deal with. But our problems are not what defines us. Our souls do. Andy was a good soul. He was the kind of guy you could tell your deepest secrets and fears to, and you could be confident he would be the only one who heard them. He truly listened when I would tell him what was on my mind, and he gave honest feedback which always came from his heart. And he had a good heart. Andy always wanted to help others. He cared for his family, he cared for people, he cared for animals, and he cared for his country. The most defining part of Andy’s life was his service in the Marine Corps. He wanted to honor his family and his country. And he did just that. Andy was a good son, nephew, cousin, friend and marine. I love you brother. I’m going to miss you for the rest of my life.
