It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Joseph Prinzi, who left us peacefully on Friday July 11, 2025 at the age of 74.
Steven was born on August 23, 1950 in St. Louis MO, the son of Anthony and Antoinette Prinzi. He was raised in Maryland Heights, MO where he learned the importance of hard work, integrity, and kindness—values that he carried with him throughout his life. These principles shaped the man he became, and were reflected in everything he did, from his career to the way he nurtured relationships with those he loved.
Steven was a skilled carpenter, whose craftsmanship left a lasting impact on many. With a keen eye for detail and a deep commitment to his work, he took great pride in his work, leaving behind a legacy of functional beauty in the homes and spaces he worked on.
In his personal life, Steve was an avid fisherman and golfer. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending a quiet afternoon on the water or sharing laughter and stories with his family. Above all, he cherished the time spent surrounded by loved ones. His warm spirit, humor, and love for life will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Steven leaves behind a loving family who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his children, Jason Prinzi and Nicole Prinzi, his cherished grandchildren, Cassondra (Joshua) Thompson, Emily, Abbey, Max, Jack and Maggie Prinzi, his great-grandchildren, Taylor and Remy Thompson, Theodore and Thomas Prinzi. His legacy lives on through them, and the love he shared with each of them will be felt for generations to come.
Memorial donations in Steven’s name may be directed to Evelyn’s House, whose compassionate care and support made all the difference during his final days.
