Deborah Jean Howard (née Crosno) passed away on February 26th, 2026 at the age of 74.
Debbie was born January 8, 1952 to Wallace Crosno and Ruth Cobb in St. Louis, Missouri. On
September 2, 1972 she married the love of her life, Douglas Howard. Debbie was a homemaker
for most of her life. She could often be found with her sister Cherre and Cherre’s three
daughters, who all lived nearby and Debbie loved like they were her own.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wallace Crosno, and sisters Barbara
Brewington and Toni Kopplin. Debbie is survived by her husband, Doug Howard; sisters, Terre
Brandenburg and Cherre Dreyer; her three special girls, Crystal Clinch (TJ), Brittany Dreyer
(Devon), and Hailey Dreyer, and her “grandkids” Max, Addie, and Hendrix; as well as a gaggle
of adoring nieces and nephews.
Debbie is remembered for regularly mispronouncing words and often making up her own. She
was creative, unique, 100% authentic, and encouraged others to be the same. Both open-
minded and open-hearted, she was endlessly loving and generous. Debbie’s home was always
open to whoever needed a place to rest or have fun.
Debbie will be cremated and a private celebration of life will be held for friends and family. No
flowers or donations requested. If you want to honor Debbie, please show a little extra kindness
to a loved one today, and then say something really weird.
