Today is Anita's birthday! She would have turned 67, my age! I miss my Anita! Anita has been on my prayer list for as long as I've had one, and it's sad that she's no longer here, but it gives me joy knowing that I no longer have to pray for her. Anita is celebrating her birthday today, with Jesus, the one who loves her the most! Happy Birthday, to my Anita! What a beautiful picture of Anita! Thank you for sharing. Anita was my cousin. We grew up together in Chicago. We were the same age and we were close. I have memories of playing in the snow in the backyard at Anita's house, in the suburbs. I was in 7th grade when we moved to Texas. Nita and I kept in touch, writing letters and sending Christmas cards. When we graduated from high school, we went to California together, to visit Tia Lydia and family. Throughout the years, there were visits from Anita to Texas and visits from me to Chicago, Illinois (where Anita was from) and St Loius, Missouri (where Anita lived) and Houston, Texas (where Anita went on business trips) and Dallas, Texas (where Anita went to visit cousin, Paz). I loved my cousin, Anita and she will be missed. God spared Anita's life twice, once when Anita had a brain aneurism that could have taken her life, and once this past March, 2025, when Anita almost died, due to a bleeding ulcer. In March, I prayed for God not to take Anita, if she was not ready to go to heaven and Anita didn't die. I was hoping to go visit Anita in July, during my two week vacation, but I never got to go see Anita, one last time. I got bad news on Sunday night, July 27, 2025 - cousin Anita was in a coma. My grandson, Ethan (11) prayed a beautiful prayer for my cousin Anita. He asked God not to take Anita, if Anita was not ready to go to heaven, the same prayer I prayed in March, when Anita almost died. I know God spared Anita's life in March, and I know Anita was ready to go to heaven, when God took her. I believe God answered my prayer, and my grandson's prayer, for Anita! Praise God! Thank you, Jesus!
