Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Thursday July 15, 2021. Beloved husband for 51yrs to Sandra. Cherished daddy to Summer (Nathan) & Andrew. Adored Pop to Nicolas, Cole, Grayson, Ava (Virga-Berry) & to Austin (Virga) bonus Pop to Connor, Noah, Abbie, Gideon & Logan, Rylee & Madison. Big brother to Frank, Vincent (Terri), Gerard (Denise), Michael & Mary Kathryn.  Uncle, great uncle, godfather, brother in law & friend to many including Janice….

 Sammy was proceeded in death by his parents Vincent & Virginia, his grandparents Homer & Bess Scoggins dear grandmother Providenza Virga & sweet Aunt Lucy. Oh the reunion awaiting him when his soul left this earth! He was their baby & so loved!!!

Sammy was the best! Literally he always looked for the good, was always kind & always smiling! He loved life, loved people & above all loved our Lord, he lived out a wonderful example & left big footprints to fill in being warriors for Christ! Sammy spent his last little bit of energy his body had left in preaching the Gospel to his beloved friends & family. His overwhelming joy & funny sense of humor made it easy to want to be around him even in sickness he kept a positive hopeful attitude. His only fault I’ve ever found was his chronic procrastination. In life it drove us all a little nuts  but since he left I’ve realized how very much in the moment he lived his life enjoying every beautiful minute taking it all in… Sammy was a treasure & will be forever missed…
