Gardner, Lauren passed away October 27, 2021 at the age of 37. She is survived by her loving mother and step-father Karen and Jim Corne, and her father Larry Gardner. Beloved granddaughter of Everett and Nancy Bromley of St. Joseph, MO. Loving cousin, niece and friend to many.
Lauren was a kind soul who loved animals of all sorts, and they loved her. She raised a horse, goats, countless dogs and cats and even a baby deer she rescued and raised to adulthood. She even taught an injured cat how to walk after countless hours of attention and physical therapy. Lauren was a giving and caring person in every facet of her life. She worked in a resale shop, which helped those in need with whom she volunteered her time. She was also incredibly bright, succeeding in school and at her job. She was even a member of the honors fraternity Phi Theta Kappa both at St. Charles Community College and at UMSL where she received a scholarship to their honors college. Lauren was a bright light in the lives of everyone who had the pleasure to know her. She was dearly loved and will be immeasurably missed.
A private memorial service will be held for Lauren at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Lauren’s name to the World Wildlife Fund or ASPCA, charities which were close to her heart.
