John Charles Stehly, 65, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026. John has been lovingly married to Laurie Diane (nee Foerster) for 36 years. Beloved children Anna Marie (Ryan Lee) and Ryan William (Morgan) Stehly. Proud grandfather of Alina, Alyona, Raymond, Rosemary, Bennett, and (baby granddaughter to be born in April). Dear brother of Daniel, Dennis, David, Mary, Margaret, and Richard. Our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend to many. John was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Stehly and in-laws Ray and Jenny Foerster.

John will be remembered by his quick-witted and gentle spirit, his dedication to his family, and lasting legacy of love he leaves behind. He touched so lives in his short time with all of us, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church – 403 N. Main Street O’Fallon, MO 63366. January 24, 2026. 9:30am visitation with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am. Interment at Assumption Cemetery Columbarium and luncheon afterward. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred, or contributions to American Cancer Society in John’s name–appreciated.
