Mr. Jackie Lee Chastain, of Troy MO, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. He
was born on February 14, 1939, in McAlester OK to Elige J. and Martha A. (nee: Marshall)
Chastain. Jackie had reached the age of 85 years.
Jackie grew up with a big family. He lived most of his adult life moving around out west
from one ranch to another as he loved ranching and his horse “Lucky”. He did love staying in
the Oregon region of Bonanza and Chiloquin. He was a cowboy at heart and a lone wolf. He
enjoyed trout fishing, horseback riding, and camping. He especially loved playing games with
his grandson Jack Jr and the 3 Musketeers he would bring him. Jackie will truly be missed.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Elige and Martha Chastain; sisters Bertha
Thomas and Mary Chastain. He is survived by his son Jack Chastain and wife Truly; 4
grandchildren, Michael, Skyla, Jack Jr Chastain, and Jayden Miller; sisters Katheryn, Leola, and
Nancy Chastain; brothers James, Joe, and Kenneth Chastain; longtime friend April Watkins; a
buddy Heather Woolf(gatekeeper); along with other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at Indian Camp Creek Park(shelter 5 or 6),
address is 2679 Dietrich Rd Foristell MO 63348, on Saturday November 16, 2024 at 2pm-3pm.
