Christian Saller left a message on December 30, 2019:
I worked with Mark many years ago in the social service field. Although we did not stay in touch, I will always remember him as an intelligent, dedicated worker and friend I was always happy to see. Deepest sympathy to his family.
Mikki Bazurto-Greene left a message on December 2, 2019:
Sarah, Laurie and all of Mark's family and friends - we send you our love, comfort and prayers for the loss that you are experiencing. Mark was so present in our family - his soul was a secret gift that we cupped in our hands carefully, a precious, fragile Spirit touched by God and delivered to us for safekeeping, for as long as he would stay. Why we were chosen to have him we do not know, but we suspect that love, generosity, kindness and goodness were involved. We bear witness to his extraordinarily large heart presence in the world. He was a dear, dear friend to my mother - like a son. They laughed, they worried, they loved together. We will be forever grateful for his devotion as he sat by her bedside while she was ill for many, many months several years ago. The honor and the profound privilege of knowing Mark and his relationship to heart will never be lost on us. May he find peace and the spiritual blessings that he needs as may all those who loved him.
