Bradley Todd Lake, 53, formerly from Monticello, IL, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, in Chesterfield, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 21, 1971, in Fairview, Ohio, Brad was the beloved son of James Terry Lake and Nancy Sue Lake (Harness). He grew up in White Heath, Illinois, and later in Monticello, Illinois, where he formed deep roots and lasting friendships.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, James Terry Lake and Nancy Sue Lake; his grandparents, Arthur and Marion Harness; and his grandparents, James and Dorothy Lake.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Rebecca Lake; his brother Jason Lake (Shelly); his sister Staci Smith (Dee); two nephews, two nieces, and one great nephew who brought him great joy; and his devoted girlfriend, Olga, along with her three children, whom Brad lovingly treated as his own.
Brad was a man of boundless generosity and compassion, always ready to lend a hand or offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His kindness and selflessness knew no bounds, and he was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know him.
An enthusiast of classic cars and tractor pulls, Brad found joy in the roar of engines and the beauty of craftsmanship. He enjoyed playing pool and could spend hours delving into lively discussions about the latest conspiracy theories. Above all, Brad cherished his family, finding immense pride and fulfillment in their love and togetherness.
Brad’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever be a source of inspiration to those he touched. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for others will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Brad’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in his memory, as Brad so often exemplified.
